Grill Discovery

My husband was getting ready to grill burgers yesterday and found an odd amout of feathers and debris under a seldom used burner. Check out the pictures:

There are four perfect eggs in the nest. I don't know if these are Sparrows or Hummingbirds. The holes behind the grill are rather small.  Guess we'd better quit grilling until the babies are hatched?

Aw...what is Retirement?

So...it has been 12 days since I retired. I have time on my hands, but not sure what to do. I have been walking the dogs, cleaning, doing laundry, surfing the internet, but mostly I'm kinda lost. Unsure what to do. Or at least what to do first. I have made some jewelry and taking pictures, editing photos and listing a few of the items at a time is time consuming. Everyone tells me that I just need time to figure out what to do. Until then, I continue to do what I want when I want. It is wonderful!!! I guess I just miss interaction with other humans during the day. Dogs are great, but I miss my co-workers. Oh well, that is life!

One of my latest cuffs!

Las Cruces Copper, Brass, and Turquoise Cuff by FTB

My fairy name

This is soo cute!

Your fairy is called Thorn Goblinwand
She is a bringer of riches and wealth.
She lives in brambles and blackberry bushes.
She is only seen when the seer holds a four-leafed clover.
She wears purple and green like berries and leaves. She has gentle green wings like a butterfly.

Retirement

Well, it has been some time since I posted anything to my blog. I started this blog several years ago to share life experiences and to promote my love of animals and making jewelry. Life has kept me busy and a full time job kept me from posting and learning more about blogs and what to do with them.

Today is my last full day of work. My last day will be next Monday April 1, 2013. That's right, April Fool's Day. My way of not forgetting my last day!

I hope to have more time now and learn how to more effectively use a blog.

I guess time will tell. I have an ETSY shop where I sell my handmade jewelry. Take a look if you get a minute.

See you soon!

I am featured in a blog and our latest rescue

Hello Everyone!

I've been featured on a blog: Adult Indulgences has featured my Etsy show in her "ETSY Stores You Must See". Here is the link.

http://adultindulgences.wordpress.com/etsy-stores-you-must-see/

Stop by and see Adult Indulgences Etsy Shop. You'll find very unique spices and some wonderful Native American items.

What an honor!

I've also attached a picture of our most recent rescue "Cherokee" which in Cherokee is "Tsalagi". She showed up one day last week very weak and dying of thirst. She was actually digging under the goat pen to get a drink of water.

She is a very loveable little girl who follows us everywhere. She is in need of much affection and love. She seems to be getting along well with our other three girls and our little blind and deaf Patches.

Have a great week everyone!

It's me!

Hello and welcome to my very first blog posting!

I think that I'll never have enough to say that anyone would care to know about, but I'm willing to start this and possibly make a difference in some way.

I am a 50 something career woman who is three years from retirement in my daily job. I also make jewlery and have a shop on Etsy (forthebrand.etsy.com). I have two wonderful kids who live at opposite sides of the US. I miss them very much! I have four dogs, three cats, a lingerling white dove/pigion, one chicken, and a pigmy goat. I tend to rescue anything that comes around our 12 acre ranch in La Mesa, NM.

So, there it is. My first ever posting. I will be back later with maybe some more interesting stuff!!
